HiTrans is an international project, which aim is to facilitate the development of high quality public transport in medium sized European cities (pop 100.000-500.000).  The project has produced best practice guides and guidelines for use by urban planners, public transport executives, and railway- or road authorities. As medium sized cities, compared to larger cities, have smaller economies of scale, there is a focus on combining solutions in new ways and at reasonable cost.
